Kajak Tours
Sea Kajaktours on Southern Lakes (1-10 days)
Description:
Tagish Lake is over 100 km long and at times 2 km wide and provides a paradise for the avid paddler. It's original route during the klondyke goldrush connected Bennett and Marsh lake and builds the headwaters for the Yukon river. If you want to start your trip in British Columbia, it's even accessable from Atlin Lake which connects Graham inlet on Tagish lake with a little river. With it's numerous arms, coves and sandy beaches, it offers endless miles on the water to paddle and camp.
Taku Arm of Tagish Lakes is the longest strech and goes beyond the border of B.C. all the way down the tagish plateau mountains to the glaciers of Ben-my-Cree.
We can provide all your gear and organize your transport where ever you want to put your kajak in. Shuttles are with our roomy motorboat or by car if you want to start in Atlin.
No matter where you start, you can paddle back right at our doorstep in Tagish!
And don't forget your hiking boots, all mountains and ridges are accessable from shore with little bushwacking...
We will point out all the camps and hikes on the way down the lake, this is an ideal paddle trip with a wilderness feeling and you can pick the distance that suits your time frame.
Tagish Cabins is your ideal base for your tour, don't forget to reserve your stay at one of our cozy log cabins.
